Project News｜Immersive Night Lighting Upgrades a Private Courtyard in Jiangmen

This private courtyard project in Jiangmen creates an elegant and relaxing outdoor nightscape through a refined layered lighting scheme.

The space features wooden slatted fences, light-colored feature walls, natural stone accents, dense green planting, curved paving and narrow walking paths, forming a compact but richly structured leisure courtyard.Instead of using strong overall brightness, the design adopts a restrained lighting approach, combining lawn light, wall light and spot light to build clear visual hierarchy, safe circulation and a warm atmosphere. All fixtures have a minimalist matte finish and a low-profile form, blending discreetly with the fence, stonework and vegetation during the day while preserving the clean, modern aesthetic of the courtyard.

After dark, the three lighting types work together to create a cohesive night scene. The lawn light are placed along paths and green borders, casting soft warm light that defines walkable areas and outlines the edges of lawns and shrubs with comfortable uniformity. The wall light are mounted on light-colored feature walls and wooden fences, producing even upward or downward illumination that highlights surface texture and adds subtle depth to otherwise plain wall areas. The spot light are carefully aimed at selected trees, shrubs and natural stone features, creating focused pools of light, strong textural contrast and delicate light-and-shadow patterns across the courtyard.

 The full range of fixtures is engineered for permanent outdoor installation, with a protection grade above IP65 for dust and water resistance, IK08 mechanical impact resistance, and successful completion of a 500-hour salt spray test. These properties help the lighting withstand humidity, rain, dust, accidental impact and corrosive atmospheric exposure in Jiangmen’s subtropical environment, supporting long-term stable and flicker-free operation. By controlling brightness, avoiding glare and keeping fixtures visually unobtrusive, the scheme achieves a quiet, refined and highly atmospheric courtyard nightscape, demonstrating a practical lighting solution for high-quality private outdoor spaces.
